Make A Claim

Making a claim can be a daunting process; at Commercial Direct we have trained staff who can assist with the process. Should the unfortunate occur please call us as soon as convenient to discuss how best to proceed.

Claims Process

  1. Notify us or the insurers asap
  2. Depending on the cause, insurers will normally require evidence of the loss in the form of a police reference number, photographs estimates etc…
  3. In most circumstances insurers allow emergency repairs to take place so avoid any further damage but DO NOT complete the full works
  4. 2 Estimates for the repair are required from independent contractors
  5. Once all has been submitted to insurers await notification of how to proceed
  6. Cooperate with insurers appointed loss adjusters if required
  7. If in doubt call us!

Important Tips

  1. Insure the safety of yourself/family/tenants at all times
  2. Contact us or the insurers as soon as possible
  3. Do NOT Complete the works without authority from the insurers
  4. Take photographs where possible
  5. Make a note of the date and time of loss (either when occurred or when noticed)
  6. It is your duty to quantify the loss
  7. Keep receipts and evidence handy where possible
